This Practice Group begins with a "remembering" for inspiration, centering and connecting with ourselves. This is followed by a "check-in" when we share how we are, what we bring with us or what we hope to receive during the session. Activities include: short education exercises, empathy, role-plays, games and discussions. Participants can facilitate the group with prior arrangement with Rodger Sorrow

Deepening workshops of Nonviolent Communication (5x2 days, dates: May 12th/13th, June 9th/10th, August 16th/17th, September 16th/17th, Ocotber 14th/15th)
These 10 days will focus on “inner work” and exploring our relationships and dialogues with ourselves and situations that trigger us. The workshops will help you to discover choices we didn’t know we had and the tools to relate to yourself with a greater sense of compassion.
We offer the opportunity to come for the first workshop to get to know me and then sign up for the rest.
In my experience before we can connect compassionately with others we first need to learn to connect compassionately with ourselves.
The workshop is also an opportunity to become part of a group that continues developing NVC skills and consciousness over the time.

through meeting the challenges within yourself and with the earth:

is a dynamic team that includes Certified Nonviolent Communication
Trainers, Outdoor Leadership Educators, Instructors for Peace and
Reconciliation, Advanced First-Aid Responders, TEMBA and P.E.A.C.E.
school teachers,artists, Zen monks, and punk band members. Together,
they bring years of passion and experience in leading youth on treks of
discovering their inner and outer wilderness.

A Telephone Course (Telecourse) with CNVC Certified Trainer Miki Kashtan, Author and Co-founder of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication and the North America NVC Leadership Program, from Oakland, California, USA

"The Heart of the Matter" is one session that will be repeated two different days/times in an effort to accommodate the worldwide NVC community. Miki suggests taking both sessions because the class is so interactive, that different topics will arise and be explored in the two classes.

Many people experience tremendous hope for connection and a richer life when they encounter NVC, and often become discouraged after awhile as they attempt to integrate their excitement into usable skills. In particular, people often struggle with identifying and working with feelings and needs, and remain disconnected from need words even when able to identify them.

In this telecourse you will learn tips for how to identify and connect with feelings and needs, both your own and others’. The focus of this class is on skill more so than the depth of NVC consciousness we want to bring to our practice.

In this class you’ll learn skills and practices to:

    * Identify your basic feeling “flavor” and increase your fluency with feeling words

    * Recognize the needs hidden within hard-to-hear messages

    * Focus on naming the full specificity of the need you notice

    * Tune in to your body to sense when connection has been made
