NVC Role Play Club – (Online) Intermediate – Train the trainers

Start 9th May 2024 – End Date 4th July 2024.

Held fortnightly on a Thursday 2pm-4pm British Summer Time on Zoom.

A dedicated online space to practice, build skills and fluency using Nonviolent Communication (NVC) through role play.

We're on a mission to make life easier for CNVC certification candidates practicing and embodying NVC who maybe longing for more ease and fluency when situations get hard, the stakes are high and where the connection really matters.

Role Play club is hosted and facilitated by Barry Jones (CNVC Certified Trainer) and Em Burns (Certification candidate). They bring with them a mix of groundedness, vulnerability, fun, energy and inclusive and engaging facilitation.

Who?

Role play club was bought to life to support and stretch Barry as he prepared for his assessment event as a certification candidate in spring 2023. After Barry became a Certified Trainer, he and Em run role play club again. This time it was open to anyone longing to learn and develop their NVC skills and consciousness through role play.

This next iteration of role play club is aimed specifically at certification candidates travelling the path to becoming a Certified Trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC).

How?

Role play club will be held online and people are invited to join the course and attend all of the 5 sessions. We imagine this will help to build a sense of community and safety to support practice, vulnerability, and growth.

People will have plenty of opportunities to be in the ‘audience’ and witness roles plays as well as participate in the role plays.

Witnesses will be invited to offer value based feedback for role players. The scenarios will be selected from the CNVC Certification Preparation Packet or from real life examples that role play club members suggest.

We will mirror how role plays are conducted at assessment events organised by the English Speaking European Assessment Team.

How much?

We are happily and willingly experimenting offering NVC Role Play Club in the spirit of gift culture. We would like to receive a contribution of £50 at the point of booking.

At the end of the 5 sessions, participants will be invited to make a further contribution. The contributions will be shared amongst the facilitators.

We invite you to consider your and the facilitators financial sustainability and to decide from there about what feels comfortable for you.

If a suggestion is helpful, we would enjoy receiving in the region of £120 - £250 (including the booking contribution) per person. If this isn’t sustainable for you, please get in touch.
